Chris Antes, Raw Food Chef

Throughout the years Chris has held Sous as well as Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine positions at restaurants all over the country. He’s had many exciting opportunities and experiences with notable clients including Eric Snow of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Most recently, Chris was the personal chef for a local couple who gave him complete creative license; in 29 months he never made the same thing twice!

Over the past twenty-nine years Chris has mastered an assortment of styles, flavors and techniques but is always open to expanding his repetoire! Now that raw foods and vegan cuisine have become his real focus, he plans to introduce recipes and styles that can help lead people towards a healthier, happier life! Now on board with The Detox Lounge, Chris will be rocking San Diego with food that’s not only delicious and nutritious but’ll have people coming back for more!

Linda Hecht, Raw Food Instructor

Linda entered the raw food world in 1994 with her visit to OHI -the Optimum Health Institute in San Diego, a preeminent world class healing organization based on the philosophy and work of Anne Wigmore using raw food and additional modalities to cleanse and thus realign and rebalance the body. After becoming certified in the program she later served two extended stints as a working guest and then joined the teaching/management staff in 2005 where she managed the raw teaching kitchen, taught all the related classes in that room, and others as well.

As a facilitator, she is well versed in raw food preparation, equipment, kitchen setup and ancillary areas including sprouting, fermented foods, organic gardening, to name a few. Always getting high scores for her teaching skills, her classes are fun and at the same time highly interesting and most informative. She is a wealth of knowledge.

Additionally, she ran the OHI volunteer program for 5 years, managing groups as large as 24 at times.

Linda enjoys design work – has done remodeling and design projects and continues to do so.
In addition to her interest in raw food, she has practiced yoga for many years and is a graduate of Continuum, an exotic movement studio in L.A. She enjoys gardening, loves to dance and sing and just have a lot of fun.

Lauren Venosta, Certified Nutritionist

Lauren experienced early on the difference between health and debilitating illness. After learning as a teen that she has Celiac disease and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, and living a life that most would consider healthy, she was hospitalized for Toxic Shock Syndrome. When her healing stalled and doctors had no answers, she took her health and future into her own hands and began researching holistic nutrition. She transformed her health and knows firsthand the exhilaration of true wellness.

Lauren holds a Bachelors of Science in Foods and Nutrition from San Diego State University and is in the process of earning a Holistic Health Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York.

Lauren’s focus is on the power of food and how it can help or harm the body. Drawing on her education and her own extensive research, she will help you create a completely personalized roadmap that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals.
